CO2 capture: Dinamx, a competitive decarbonization technology

France

The DinamX (Demonstration and Innovative Applications of the DMX™ process) project was launched by partners ArcelorMittal France, IFP Energies nouvelles (IFPEN), and TotalEnergies as an extension of the European Horizon 2020 “3D” project in 2020 and is supported by the French Investments for the Future Program led by ADEME.

DinamX aims to study the potential of applying DMX™ carbon capture technology to other types of industrial CO2 emitters such as the lime industry. The technology captures CO2 and increases its purity for transport and storage and, as such, is an end-of-pipe solution.

An industrial pilot facility is being constructed in modular form by Axens at the ArcelorMittal France site in Dunkirk. A new milestone within the DinamX project has been reached with the start of the technical and economic evaluation for the implementation of the technology at our Réty plant in France.

Our participation is a visible recognition of the Lhoist commitment and engagement to address the CO2 challenge, locally and internationally.
