We are committed to support education by providing developmental opportunities to our communities and by setting up academic partnerships.
The legacy and passion for education has driven several initiatives in our local communities, from providing computer training to local villagers in Brazil to actively supporting primary school education in Belgium or mastering an apprenticeship program in Germany.

In a nationwide survey commissioned by the magazine "Focus Money", Lhoist Germany was again awarded the title "Germany's best training companies 2021". With this award, the company is among the top five percent of all training companies.
In recent years, Lhoist has already received several awards as one of the best training companies.

A variety of training opportunities
At our Lhoist locations in Wülfrath, Hönnetal, Messinghausen, Regensburg, Istein and Pelm (AWA Institute), every year, around 75 young talents can kickstart their professional lives and have the opportunity to put into practice their studies.
The offers range from dual studies in electrical engineering or mechanical engineering or training as an electronics technician for industrial engineering to industrial mechanics, mechatronics technicians for commercial vehicle technology, industrial clerks, chemical laboratory assistants and winemakers to office management clerks.
Education as a longstanding tradition
The Lhoist Training Center in Wülfrath-Rohdenhaus has been training the next generation of specialists for 39 years. Lhoist Germany trains a large part of them here for our own company but also cooperates with companies from the region at various locations within the framework of inter-company training.
