Geoffroy de Myttenaere
Geoffroy de Myttenaere joined Lhoist in 2016 as VP, Project Management Office.
He started his career in the telecom industry, before joining McKinsey & Company where he became Partner.
Geoffroy de Myttenaere studied Commercial Engineering in Brussels (Belgium), and complemented this background with a Master in Business Administration at the MIT Sloan School of Management (United States).
Cedric de Vicq
Cedric de Vicq has been appointed CEO Europe in 2018. He joined Lhoist in 2011 as Associate Director Merger & Acquisitions before holding successively several positions of Managing Director within the Group: in Lhoist UK, Lhoist Northern Europe and finally Lhoist Western Europe.
Cedric started his career in investment banking with KBC Securities and made the switch to the chemical industry working for Oleon in Malaysia.
He holds a Masters in Applied Economics from the Catholic University of Leuven and a Masters in General Management from Vlerick Business School.
Frederic Meessen
Frederic Meessen joined Lhoist in 2005 as Senior Legal Counsel and became Secretary General and General Counsel in 2008.
He started his career with the law firm De Bandt, van Hecke & Lagae (now Linklaters). In 2001, he joined Tractebel (now part of GDF-Suez) as Senior Legal Counsel Middle East, Africa and Latin America.
Frederic Meessen graduated with a law degree from University of Liege (Belgium). He also holds a degree in Business Law from University of Brussels (Belgium) and an LLM from University of Michigan Law School (US).
Ron Thompson
Ron Thompson was appointed CEO Lhoist North America in 2013.
He started his career with Allvac, a global specialty metals producer. From 2001 to 2004 Ron was Senior Vice President, Southern Region for Carmeuse Lime. He joined Norit Americas Inc. in 2004 as CEO and subsequently became CEO of Norit Holdings B.V.
Ron Thompson holds a BSc in Metallurgic Engineering from University of Missouri-Rolla (US), an MSc in Metallurgy and Material Science from Case Western Reserve University (US) and an MBA from Wake Forest University (US).
Laurent Yvon
Laurent Yvon joined Lhoist in 2005 as Senior Vice President Human Resources.
He began his career in sales with Evian, a subsidiary of the Danone Group. He subsequently worked with a recruitment firm before moving to Hilti Corporation, in various International Human resources roles, latest Vice President Human Resources for Asia-Pacific.
Laurent Yvon holds a Master’s degree in Law, a degree in Business Administration from University of Caen (France) and an Executive Master’s from INSEAD, Fontainebleau (France).
