Partnership with United Way of Tarrant County

Lhoist North America

A longstanding partnership

One of our longstanding community partnerships in North America is with United Way of Tarrant County. We began our formal partnership with them in 2015. United Way of Tarrant County is a nonprofit leader that brings together entire populations, with more than 45 partner agencies. For the 2019–2020 fiscal year, United Way of Tarrant County allocated more than $10 million in funding to partners in the community.

Also, strong lines of communication between United Way and Lhoist representatives ensure we don’t miss opportunities to help those in need in our community.

Partnering with Girls Inc. of Tarrant County

As for our involvement, we host an annual giving campaign to raise money for United Way that is given to their partner agencies to provided services in the community. Lhoist matches the employee funds donated. Additionally, we work directly with several of United Way’s partner organizations like Girls Inc of Tarrant County, our partnership with this organization is long-standing and represents our commitment to ensuring the health, education, and career readiness of girls in our community.

We’ve also been hosting collection drives and participating in volunteer events for ACH Child & Family Services, Presbyterian Night Shelter, and Meals on Wheels. For our employees, it’s great that United Way of Tarrant County makes it simple to give in one place but impact many different areas of need.
