Milk of Lime

Also known as lime slurry, milk of lime is a highly alkaline material. It can be used in a wide array of industrial uses. It is a suspension of calcium hydroxide particles in water. These particles give the solution its milky appearance. 

Milk of lime (lime slurry) is manufactured industrially in stirred reactor vessels, either from quicklime or from hydrated lime, in the presence of excess water.
